It has 14 rooms, a pool and a rooftop lounge, and it uses materials from the island. The rooms are mostly white with dark furniture, and have flat-screen TVs, air conditioning, stocked minibars and plenty of storage.

The listing mentions iguanas crossing the road in front of the hotel. Most of the staff are locals and can help with excursions and massages. There is a restaurant, an ocean-view bar and an outdoor jacuzzi. At 351$ for two it is the cheapest of the four villas and boutique hotels here, with an 8.8 rating, the lowest of the four.

Where to stay on Isabela Island

Most hotels on Isabela are in or near Puerto Villamil town, and there are two main areas to choose from.

The beachfront has direct access to the long white sand beach that runs in front of the town. Prices are usually higher here.

A block or two back from the beach, in Puerto Villamil town, there are more budget-friendly options. You are still close to the beach and to the town’s shops and restaurants.
