Já conhecem o castelo mais cénico de Portugal? 🌄🏰

Imaginem-se numa ilha isolada no Rio Tejo, onde se ergue o imponente Castelo de Almourol, um dos marcos medievais mais icónicos do país.

Com origens envoltas em mistério, acredita-se que tenha começado como um forte pré-histórico, mais tarde ocupado pelos mouros no século VIII. Em 1129, o castelo, então chamado Almorolan, passou para o controlo português. Os Templários, essenciais na defesa de Coimbra e na reconquista da região, reconstruíram-no com as suas características únicas: muralhas imponentes, nove torres circulares e uma torre de menagem impressionante, terminando a obra em 1171 🌟.
